SEVEN STEPS TO
SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE BOOK
1. RIGHTEOUS ATTITUDE
Delivering superior service starts by embracing the right attitude: a mind-set that motivates us to satisfy the needs of others regardless of any personal pain or plans. Throughout all of history the best example of this is and forever will be Jesus. (See Mark 10:45)
2. RIGHTEOUS INSTRUCTIONS
The inherent authority in each sales situation can tell us exactly what's needed to provide superior customer service. The Bible contains precise instructions for those desiring to serve God.
(See 1Peter 2:13-17)
3. RIGHTEOUS RESPONSES
We should rapidly respond to any request with a reverent desire to serve. As if God almighty made the request. The Bible tells us to serve wholeheartedly, as if we're serving the Lord and not men. (See Ephesians 6:7)
4. RIGHTEOUS ANTICIPATIONS
Embracing an attitude that anticipates engages a three-stage sequence. First it motivates us to organize the basics of what we sell. Secondly, it prompts us to predict and please as the selling occurs. Finally, it inspires us to deliver service that's deemed superior after the selling ends. (See Ephesians 5:15-16)
5. RIGHTEOUS PLAN
Our plan for delivering superior customer service must make use of all available assets and people power. Our plan should guide us to deliver the best possible service in a gracious and grand style. (See Luke 14:28-29)
6. RIGHTEOUS PASSIONS
Imagine if we worked for the Lord, and had to sell something in order to serve Christ. This would generate a passion that propelled us to cheerfully sell and properly serve. The Bible instructs us to endeavor as if we're working for the Lord. (See Colossians 3:23-24)
7. RIGHTEOUS EFFORT
Our efforts to deliver superior customer service must be consistent, even when our rewards remain unseen. During those times we must rely on our faith in God to supply what's needed. According to the Bible faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. (See Hebrews 11:1)
Our greatness as salespeople should not be calculated by the number of people we sell, but by the number of people we serve. (Mark 10:43) 43Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.
