SEVEN STEPS
TO SHARE GOD'S LOVE AND WISDOM
1. BE DEVOTED TO GOD
God must rule over our entire life. We must not compartmentalize God, only seeking Him for weddings, funerals, and times of trouble. Our selling style must reflect our faith in God for significance, security, and success. (See Exodus 20:1-3)
2. BE A DOER OF THE WORD AND NOT JUST A HEARER
The entire premise for selling God's way rests on this principle. Our challenge lies in applying the Word of God to each second of living, especially when temptations and trials entice us to follow other ideologies and instincts. (See James 1:22-25)
3. BE A DEDICATED PRAYER WARRIOR
Pray for godly guidance in every selling situation. Pray about everything and pray without ceasing. (See 1Thessolonians 5:17)
4. BE A DIRECTOR OF EVERY THOUGHT
We need to take captive of all thoughts. For example, any sales advice or instructions must be first analyzed against biblical wisdom. Then we must direct how that information should be used or discarded. (See 2Corinthians 10:3-5)
5. BE DUTIFULLY REPENTANT
Being repentant is vital to selling God's way. We can not obtain all the blessings of selling God's way if we cling to sin, because sin seperates us from God. Seperation from God is dangerous. It could close the door to God's blessings and open a door for Satan to sling hell into our lives. (See Isaiah 59:1-2 and Matthew 4:17)
6. BE DILIGENT ABOUT BUILDING GOD'S KINGDOM
As beleivers, we have an obligation to lead others into the kingdom of God that's offered through Jesus Christ. Our selling style can serve as a testimony that leads others to do everything God's way. Jesus commands us to go and make disciples throughout all the nations. (See Matthew 28:19)
7. BE DECIDELY THANKFUL
All that is worthwhile and wonderful comes from God. The grace needed to succeed in the midst of our own mistakes, and the ability to earn wealth both arrive through our Father in Heaven. This makes the decision to remain thankful unquestionable.
(See Deuteronomy 8:18 and 1Thessolonians 5:18)
At best there are only seven steps to selling God's way. In the book of Matthew, Jesus says that; "it's a small gate and narrow road that leads to life, and only a few find it." The book "Selling God's Way" helps salespeople through that small gate and up that narrow road. Jesus also says in that same book that; "destruction has a wide gate and broad road." Unfortunately, far too many salespeople go through that wide gate and down that broad road, by selling in ways that incorporate sin.
(See Matthew 7:13-14)
